The Early Days: A Multi-National Experience
Before the birth of Oriential, Ahmed Hasan and his team operated across multiple countries under different names. From the bustling streets of Cairo and Port Said in Egypt to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, and even Chicago and Miami in the United States, Ahmed and his partners delivered marketing services to clients around the world.
However, the story took a significant turn when Ahmed set his sights on Dubai. On February 7, he and his then-partner launched a new brand, Wissdomm, in the city that would become their base of operations. Wissdomm aimed to serve clients across industries, leveraging Ahmed’s vast experience and passion for marketing.
The Setback: Facing Challenges Head-On
As with any entrepreneurial endeavor, challenges were inevitable. After just a few months of running Wissdomm, Ahmed and his partner decided to part ways due to irreconcilable differences. The fallout left Ahmed navigating the business alone, facing mounting challenges as he tried to grow Wissdomm.
It was a difficult time. Ahmed built a small but capable team to help establish the brand, but the obstacles created by his former partner’s actions began to take their toll. Ultimately, Ahmed had to make the tough decision to release his team and stop operations, bringing Wissdomm to a standstill.
But if there’s one thing that defines Ahmed, it’s his determination to keep moving forward. Rather than giving up, Ahmed made the courageous decision to start over—again.
The Birth of Oriential: A Fresh Start
On November 22, 2023, Oriential was officially registered in Dubai, marking a new chapter for Ahmed Hasan. This wasn’t just the launch of another marketing agency. It was the embodiment of Ahmed’s belief in his vision and the culmination of all his previous experiences.
With limited resources, Ahmed began building Oriential’s brand identity and website from scratch, this time with a lean team working remotely. The challenges didn’t end there. As the business began to take shape, Ahmed struggled to cover the costs of keeping his small team afloat. But even in the face of these obstacles, he refused to give up.
Bootstrapping became the foundation of Oriential’s journey. Ahmed funded the company entirely out of his pocket, choosing not to seek investments or fundraising. It was a conscious decision. He wanted Oriential to stand as a self-sufficient brand, free from external pressures, allowing it to grow organically.
A Glimmer of Hope: The First Client
As the weeks passed and the website slowly came to life, things began to change. In early 2024, Oriential landed its first client from the United States—an achievement that marked a turning point for the company. What made this even more special was how it happened: the client discovered Oriential’s website through LinkedIn and loved it enough to reach out.
This was a moment of validation for Ahmed and his team. Without any formal marketing or outreach, the company had attracted international attention simply through the quality of its work and the brand it was building. It was proof that the hard work, sleepless nights, and relentless focus were paying off.
The Road Ahead: Global Aspirations
Now, as we stand in mid-2024, Oriential is focused on the future. The vision is clear: to grow from a small agency based in Dubai into a global player, offering world-class marketing services to businesses across continents.
Ahmed’s journey has never been easy, but it’s only just beginning. The challenges he faced—from partnership disputes to financial struggles—have shaped Oriential into a brand that is as resilient as its founder. Today, we’re a lean, focused, and driven team, ready to take on new clients and new markets.
We haven’t done much marketing for ourselves yet, but our next move is to ramp up our efforts, connect with more businesses in Dubai, and expand our reach globally. We’re confident in what we do, and we know that our passion and expertise will lead to more partnerships, growth, and success.
